List of Banned Firecrackers in West Bengal
List of Banned Firecrackers in West Bengal as per notification Memo No. 942/3L/WPB-C(IX) / 2013 (PART 1), dated 2-11-2015 of West Bengal Pollution Control Board (W.B.P.C.B.) any firecrackers producing sound more than 90 dB(A) at 5 meters distance from the point of bursting shall be banned.
Further no sound crackers shall be used in between 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M.
All kinds of firecrackers shall be restricted in the silence zone.

As per sample testing of firecrackers conducted by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) in the presence of representatives of the Kolkata Police and Fireworks Dealers Associations the following firecrackers could not qualify the sound level test.
Hence, Commissioner of the Police, Kolkata ordered for prohibition of storage, sale, purchase and use of the following categories of fireworks and any other fireworks producing sound more than 90 dB(A) under Kolkata Police jurisdiction.
